on Jan 18th, 2008500.000 colourful plastic balls dropped in Piazza di Spagna, Rome

Thousands of colourfull plastic balls have been dropped down the hystoric stairs of Piazza di Spagna, in the center of Rome. The “artist” is the same who dyed Trevi’s fountain and his name is Graziano Cecchini, he defines itself a neo-futurist. Though his actions get massive press & media coverage in Italy because of their incredibile settings Graziano’s creativity seems to be withered some years ago. Indeed everyone remembers Sony Bravia bouncing balls commercial in San Francisco by Nicolai Fuglsig and this performance looks really like its “spaghetti version”.

Definitely a nice disorder… but unfortunately not so bright.

Here’s a video of the backstage:

After the performance Graziano Checchini was arrested by police and this is the video:

And here the well known spot of Sony Bravia:

tra l’altro anche il “rosso trevi” era scopiazzato da una campagna promozionale di una bibita statunitense. per un giorno le fontane di una piccola cittadina u.s.a. getterano acqua rossa. fondamentalmente il caro cecchin è un parucca.
    ciao
